  1. Hang in there! It’s sort of like kneading bread; it doesn’t make much sense until you practice it for a while without judging yourself and suddenly it just works and you have the feel for it! This is a good video. Mostly, though it just takes practice and being willing to drop the spindle a lot without getting too discouraged! 🙂

    • I am not going to give up! 🙂 I managed to spin some of our dark chocolate from Jerlys. It’s uneven and some of it seems awfully thick! LOL I keep telling myself it’s like riding a bike. It’s going to take awhile to get it. Thanks for the support and encouragement, it is much appreciated!

  2. Try park and draft while you’re learning. I wouldn’t recommend Megan LaCore’s videos, as she is definitely not an expert – try Abby Franquemont’s videos instead.

    • Thanks for the suggestion. I really appreciate it. I have watched some of Abby’s videos as well. I have actually watched many different spinners, all at different levels of ability just to see others do it. Abby is amazing, and I can tell she is very obviously a master spinner. 🙂
